Welcome to the Lubbock Christian School website. We are excited that you have an interest in Christian education. This website contains a wealth of information about our school as well as schedules of current and future activities and events. We are eager to help you feel personally welcomed on our campus and to answer any questions that you may have about our school.
LCS was incorporated in 1954 by members of the Churches of Christ living in Lubbock and on the South Plains. From that date to the present, over half of the student body has been from Church of Christ families, however, we have continued to serve hundreds of students of all denominations and faiths. The school is governed by a forward-thinking and dedicated board of trustees who have helped to develop a culture of growth and the pursuit of excellence over the years.
Lubbock Christian School was established on spiritual principles, and its mission is founded on those same principles today. The four core values of LCS are to be devoted to God’s word, led by the Spirit, shining lights, and committed to excellence. LCS was established so, while children were being educated with the secular knowledge needed to live in God’s creation and in society, they could also have the spiritual truths of God integrated into their daily school experience. As Jesus grew in all ways on earth with his family, LCS seeks to send its graduates out with the moral character and academic preparation to flourish in the work place and to be light and salt in society.
To these ends, hundreds of teachers, administrators, and board members have devoted their service. Millions of dollars have been donated and invested by families who support this Christ-centered education. LCS graduates, even from the first class of 1965, have contributed greatly all over the nation and world in churches, ministries, businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies.
We are humbled and thankful for your interest in Lubbock Christian School, and we are eager to be of service in any and all ways, to the glory of God and the benefit of children and parents. We are grateful to God for His abundant blessings and for His faithfulness to allow Lubbock Christian School to flourish.
Tye Rogers, LCS President
