Elementary

The elementary curriculum is Biblically integrated to give students a Christian Worldview. We teach the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards that fit our mission and agree with Biblical truths for our curriculum. We use many different resources to provide quality language arts, math, social studies, and science classes.  We believe in teaching students to their highest ability and understanding students individually to expand their learning through many different strategies, and through different learning styles.  Teachers truly care about understanding students' needs and challenging students at their level.  Students are also taught much more than the standards alone. Students learn social, emotional, and leadership skills as well through hands-on, group, and individual activities.  In all our classes, Lubbock Christian School students are encouraged to use metacognitive (thinking about your thinking) skills through discussion, group activities, labs, writing, and problem-solving that will expand their brain power and provide rigor in the classroom all while explaining how God's plan is involved in all subjects taught. We believe that God's plan is the foundation of all learning, and we must understand how he works in all things.  (Romans 8:28)
