The Lubbock Christian Band program is one of the earliest programs started at LCS. The program has a tradition of success as well as service to the community. Our program is based on developing young musicians to make great music, enjoy music and understand the importance of music in our society.

At Lubbock Christian School, our bands are involved with many local and TAPPS sponsored contests. Our students are able to participate in solos, ensembles, jazz band and concert band. The band serves the school at pep rallies and games, and during football season we have marching band. Our band also serves the community with our flag route where we service the neighborhood around LCS.

Our high school band has achieved the honor of State Champions in TAPPS 11 times and several runner-up awards. Our students are able to audition for TMEA or ATSSB all-region band, jazz, all-state band and Top of the Nation Honor Band. Our Jr. High students make up a large percentage of the all-region band every year.

Trips are a big incentive for our students as well as a reward for their service to the program. The high school band has traveled to Orlando, Florida to participate in a mass halftime show at the first ever Champs Bowl. They have also participated in the Macy’s Parades in Universal Studios and various parades and recording sessions at Disney World. We try to provide many opportunities for our students to have success as well as having a lot of fun while doing so.
