LCS Athletic Director, Chris Softley, is “excited to launch our youth sports program!” Coach Softley remarked that LCS Eagle Athletics “sees the need in our current climate to give kids a place to enjoy playing sports and growing their skills in a low-pressure environment. Our hope is that kids have fun learning the game, playing multiple sports, and developing physically, mentally, and socially.”
This program is specifically designed for all 2nd-6th grade students to efficiently increase their skill levels without the demanding time commitment of many other youth programs. Development sessions will meet on the LCS campus for one hour once a week, and there will not be any weekend games. The first 30 minutes of each session will focus on the skills of that particular sport's program, with the remaining 30 minutes dedicated to structured game play. Students will be coached by LCS coaches and student-athletes.
The following programs will be offered throughout the year for $100 per session:
Football (touch 7v7) - Registration has closed for the September 18 – October 27 session
Cheer - Registration has closed for the September 18 – October 27 session (girls only)
Basketball - Registration has closed for the January 18 – February 22 session
Soccer - Registration is open for the March 18 – April 22 session!
